If a device isn’t functioning properly (EX: content isn’t displaying correctly), there may be an issue with the setup file. The setup file will need to be verified and, if needed, verified
Note: If the client is in Spectrio’s BrightAuthor (BSN.cloud account), you’ll need to update the autorun file.
To verify the setup file:
- From the device menu (via IP address), navigate to Admin.
- Select Setup Library.
- Open setup options by clicking the pencil icon.
- Here, you’ll be able to verify if the setup file is up-to-date.
- Ensure any changes made are saved.
- Escalate to Senior Support if additional assistance is needed.
To update the setup file:
- Perform a factory reset of the device.
- This will automatically update the setup file.
If these steps don’t remedy the issue, you may need to reprovision the device.
To do so:
- Click the gear icon to access the device’s Network menu.
- Navigate to the Control tab.
- Apply the reprovision command.
This will download a new setup file from the cloud and apply it to the device.
Now, you’ll be able to confirm if the device is functioning properly and the correct content is displaying.
